Day 13 - 10th January 2002

Up the Jungle in Dominica

Dominica is not renowned for its beaches so on Brenda's advice we hired a boat and headed up country ....

The first boats we looked at looked a bit iffy, so we went for a little one .....

Getting on was a bit tricky ....

(who is that bum?)

But soon we were happily heading up country....

(Can you spot the driver?)

The Bar Stewards were making the rum punches ....

Crocodile Quigley was watching for Crocs ....

(He spotted a couple of old ones up front!)

Our faithful driver Sam was doing all the work....

And the crocodiles were watching us!

It wasn't long before we arrived at a quiet (not for long) jungle hut....

The girls were soon enticing the natives to dance ....

Jill drew the short straw ....

Geoff drew the

     big knickers ....

The dancing got wilder and noisier attracting tourists from miles around - the river had never been so busy .....

So the team assembled ready to leave ....

And we said farewell to Sam!!!

Sorry but this will be very very slow to download the first time you view it

This was our penultimate evening so we made the best of it ....

It was rumoured that Brenda fancied a 66 inch pianist ....

And she wasn't to be disappointed ....

Mind you Jill also wanted in on the action....

Meanwhile Les was posing with Doreen and Shirley ....

(He wanted a run around the deck in her wheel chair!)

We decided to do a show in one of the theatres ....

It wasn't very good so we soon left and returned to our favourite haunt -

"The Wheel Tappers & Shunters" for some dancing.

It couldn't go on like this - we needed to wind down!
