Quigley News 2001

Him

From LWQ...

I hope that our reader(s) have had a good year and will continue to have another.  I can report another good year for the family Quigley - no births, no marriages, no divorces, sadly just one death (Jill's mum aged 87 died today 19th December) and two court cases! (Which the lawyers won!)  Only real problem is that we are one year older.

2001 could be described as another year of consolidation for Jill & I (i.e. we didn't achieve much or do a lot, we sat back and enjoyed life!), and a year of preparation for "the children" Danielle and Christopher (i.e. they achieved more and did a lot as they prepared for their futures.)

For Jill & I the year started with a court case. We were suing a builder for incomplete and unsatisfactory work and he was suing us for non-payment. We lost! He lost! The lawyers & "experts" won - they made around £30K. A hard (and expensive) lesson learnt!

Thank goodness the "case" was the worst thing that happened to us this year. We had an on going planning saga with our gates, but this has been resolved but will not be forgotten - as a result of our experiences,  "Victimised.com" is to become a public platform for individuals (like us) to expose the abuse & misuse of public, corporate and financial power by individuals within "the system"! - I'm setting it up now so keep an eye on www.victimised.co.uk which is my test site.

The house finished

The rest of the year went well. Business has been good and, we hope, will continue so! With the exception of Chris, who has had to work hard at developing his multi-media empire, we all  had more than our fair share of holidays and excursions - Mind you, as usual Jill had more holidays than me. (She always spends two weeks in Spain to my one!).  On the general life front we have all been reasonably active,  Jill has continued her tennis, I've started flying again, Danielle & Pascal have been working on organising the acquisition of land and the building of their new house and Chris has been "networking"!
