2000 has been quite a lively year for the Quigley

JANUARY
Jill and I started the Millenium as guests of Dick & Shireen Shuster at the Officer’s Mess at Linton-on-Ouse. It was an all ranks family party – the first I have ever attended in an Officer’s Mess. Whilst we enjoyed our evening an all ranks party in the officers mess was definitely not a good idea. The atmosphere was that of a rather poorly organised Village Hall party with a number of drunken, out of control, young teenagers. It did not reflect well on the RAF. Danielle spent her New Year in Luxembourg, where she now lives, and Christopher had taken off with his mates to party in the “girls boarding school” in Shaftsbury
A few days after New Year, Jill, Chris & I took off for Spain. We planned a few days skiing in the Sierra Nevada. Unfortunately I had contracted the dreaded flu. This put paid to my skiing, although Chris did manage a brief visit to the slopes. Jill was also going down with flu, so we abandoned skiing and went down the hill to our place Mojacar. Jill and I spent a very miserable week in bed. Poor Chris was bored out of his brains, but did manage to get some work done in preparation for his finals.

We were never so pleased to get back to a cold wet England – with central heating!!!

In the meantime Danielle and Pascal had headed off for somewhere warm - Egypt!
